1. Adheres to departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
2. Handles both outpatients and inpatient treatment.
3. Escorts residents to physiotherapy department, if required.
4. Understand the role of therapy in the context of the patient's age, total needs perspective and environment
5. Perform age appropriate competency skills with respect to individual patient's problems.
6. Consistently report to physical therapist, patient progress/status to allow for updated of goals and modifications by physical therapist of treatment program
7. Performs administrative duties such as maintaining statistics, order entry and answering telephone calls.
8. Sets up and removes equipment and supplies; ensures equipment is functioning properly and stored appropriately.
9. Assess the physical condition of patients / consults the Executive Physiotherapy to diagnose problems, plans appropriate treatment.
10. Uses a range of techniques to strengthen and stretch muscles and joints to improve patient mobility.
11. Performs spinal and peripheral joint mobilization and manipulation.
12. Uses equipment such as heat packs, exercise equipment, ice packs, ultrasound and electrotherapy to ease pain, reduce swelling and improve range movement.
13. Re-trains patients to walk or to use devices such as walking frames, splints, crutches and wheelchairs.
14. Educates patients, their families and the community to prevent injury and disability and to lead healthy lifestyles, participates in educational programs
15. Helps implement community fitness programs.
16. Consults with physician on resident’s progress; maintains appropriate records.
Pay: ₹10,359.34 - ₹35,764.03 per month
