About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Regional Sales Head to lead sales operations across Kasaragod, Kannur, Wayanad, Kozhikode and Malappuram for our growing range of cheese balls and potato chips.
The person will be responsible for achieving regional sales targets, expanding the distributor and retailer network, developing new markets, managing the sales team and ensuring strong product visibility and distribution across North Kerala.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies for the assigned territory.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence.
- Develop sales plans based on territory potential and market trends.
- Drive primary and secondary sales across the region.
- Monitor sales performance against targets and take corrective action where required.
2. Distributor & Dealer Management
- Appoint and develop distributors, dealers and sub-distributors across the territory.
- Build strong relationships with existing distributors and key customers.
- Ensure adequate stock availability at distributor and retail levels.
- Monitor distributor sales, stock levels, outstanding payments and market coverage.
- Negotiate commercial terms within approved company policies.
- Resolve distributor and dealer-related issues promptly.
3. Retail & Market Expansion
- Expand product availability across supermarkets, provision stores, bakeries, wholesalers, canteens, tea shops and other relevant outlets.
- Identify high-potential markets and develop territory-wise expansion plans.
- Increase numeric and weighted distribution of cheese balls and potato chips.
- Ensure proper product placement, visibility and merchandising at retail outlets.
- Develop relationships with key retailers and institutional customers.
4. Team Management
- Lead, motivate and monitor the regional sales team.
- Set territory-wise targets for sales officers, sales executives and field staff.
- Conduct regular field visits with sales personnel.
- Review daily, weekly and monthly sales performance.
- Train the sales team on products, selling techniques, market development and customer handling.
- Ensure discipline, attendance, route planning and productive field coverage.
5. Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor products, pricing, schemes, promotions and distribution strategies.
- Gather customer and retailer feedback regarding products, pricing, packaging and quality.
- Identify emerging market trends and opportunities.
- Provide regular market intelligence reports to management.
6. Sales Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Analyse territory-wise sales, product-wise sales and distributor performance.
- Track achievement against sales targets.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and coordinate with the finance team for collections.
- Prepare sales forecasts and business projections.
7. Product & Brand Development
- Support management in developing new products, pack sizes and market-specific strategies.
- Coordinate promotional activities, retailer schemes and product launches.
- Ensure effective implementation of company-approved marketing campaigns.
- Build brand awareness and visibility throughout the assigned territory.

Candidate Profile
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- 5–10 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG, food products, snacks, confectionery or similar industries.
- Experience in distributor-driven FMCG sales will be strongly preferred.
- Candidates with strong experience in the North Kerala market will have an advantage.
