Position : Dean – Academic

Educational Qualification

Ph.D. in any relevant discipline from a recognized University/Institution.
A strong academic background with a proven record of teaching, research, and academic administration.
Preference will be given to candidates with NET/SET qualification and/or relevant professional certifications.

Experience

Minimum 10–15 years of relevant academic experience in a reputed University/College/Institution.
Proven experience in academic administration, curriculum development, examination systems, faculty management, and quality assurance.
Prior experience in a senior academic leadership position such as Dean, Associate Dean, HOD, Professor, or equivalent will be preferred.
Experience in NAAC, UGC, NBA, NIRF, academic audits, accreditation and regulatory compliance will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and direction for all academic activities of the University.
Develop, review, and implement academic policies, regulations, and procedures.
Supervise curriculum development, revision, and implementation across departments.
Monitor academic standards, teaching quality, and faculty performance.
Coordinate with HODs, Deans, faculty members, and other academic/administrative departments.
Oversee academic planning, academic calendars, examinations, results, and student progression.
Promote research, innovation, interdisciplinary learning, and academic collaborations.
Ensure compliance with UGC, AICTE, NAAC and other applicable regulatory/accreditation requirements.
Lead initiatives related to quality enhancement, accreditation, academic audits, and institutional development.
Address academic grievances and ensure timely resolution of student and faculty academic matters.
Strengthen industry-academia collaborations, internships, placements, and skill-based learning.
Present academic reports and recommendations to the Vice Chancellor/University Management.
Drive continuous improvement in teaching-learning processes and overall academic excellence.
