Introduction

At PiXirus, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are at the heart of our digital innovation strategy. From large-scale digitization to eLearning and content management, we design intelligent solutions that preserve knowledge, enhance discovery, and transform access for enterprises worldwide.

We are expanding our team and are looking for a R&D Developer.

As this position requires on-site presence, we will exclusively consider applicants residing in Pondicherry .

Your Role

As a R&D Developer, you will work closely with senior engineers and researchers to explore, design, and build innovative software and data-driven solutions.
This role offers hands-on exposure across the full research and development lifecycle — from idea exploration and prototyping to implementation, testing, and deployment of scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities

Researching and experimenting with new AI technologies, frameworks, and methodologies
Designing, developing, and integrating software components and APIs
Implementing data processing, automation, and intelligent features in applications
Assisting in model, algorithm, or system evaluation and optimization
Deploying solutions and ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability
Writing technical documentation and participating in testing and debugging
Collaborating in team discussions, design reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions
Contributing innovative ideas to improve product quality and development workflows.

Required Qualifications

B.Tech / BE in Computer Science, Information Technology, AI, Data Science, or related fields
At least 2 years of experience (internships, academic, and personal projects accepted)
Strong programming skills in Python (additional languages are a plus)
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software fundamentals
Familiarity with software development practices and backend concepts
Analytical thinking with strong problem-solving abilities
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Nice to Have

Exposure to AI/ML, Computer Vision, or Large Language Models (LLMs)
Experience with databases, APIs, or microservices
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Understanding of DevOps or MLOps basics
Participation in hackathons, research projects, or tech competitions
