JOB DESCRIPTION – SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER / DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER
Position: Social Media Manager / Digital Marketing Manager
Department: Marketing & Digital Media
Location: Pune – Multiple Branches of The Vision Sports
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month
Reporting To: Management / Marketing Head
Experience: 2–5 Years Preferred
1. JOB PURPOSE
The Social Media Manager / Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, managing, and optimizing the digital presence of The Vision Sports across social media and digital platforms.
The role will focus on building the brand, increasing social media reach and engagement, generating quality leads for sports programs and admissions, promoting camps and events, managing paid advertising campaigns, creating engaging sports content, and maintaining consistent communication across all branches and platforms.
The candidate should be comfortable with content creation, photography, videography, video editing, graphic designing, social media management, Meta Ads, lead generation, analytics, and event coverage.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Social Media Management
- Manage and maintain The Vision Sports' social media accounts including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
- Develop and execute monthly and weekly social media content calendars.
- Plan and publish posts, reels, stories, videos, testimonials, athlete highlights, achievements and promotional content.
- Ensure consistency in brand identity, tone, messaging and visual communication across all platforms.
- Monitor social media trends, platform updates, algorithms and emerging content formats.
- Improve organic reach, engagement, followers and overall digital brand presence.
B. Content Creation & Storytelling
- Create engaging sports-related content showcasing training sessions, coaches, students, tournaments, achievements, events and academy activities.
- Conduct photography and videography at different branches, training sessions, tournaments and events.
- Shoot and edit short-form videos, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and promotional videos.
- Develop athlete/student success stories and compelling sports-based storytelling.
- Create content suitable for different audiences including students, parents, athletes and sports enthusiasts.
- Coordinate with coaches, centre heads and management to collect relevant content.
- Ensure timely delivery of daily and weekly content requirements.
C. Video Editing & Creative Production
- Shoot, edit and publish high-quality short-form videos and reels.
- Use tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Premiere Pro or equivalent software.
- Create trend-based reels while maintaining the brand identity of The Vision Sports.
- Add appropriate captions, graphics, transitions, music, subtitles and branding elements.
- Repurpose existing content into multiple formats for different platforms.
- Maintain an organized library of photographs, videos and creative assets.
D. Lead Generation & Admissions Support
- Generate quality inquiries for football, cricket, basketball, skating, swimming, karate, gymnastics, volleyball, pickleball, kids fitness, camps and other programs.
- Develop social media campaigns aimed at generating admissions and trial registrations.
- Promote seasonal camps, tournaments, workshops, events and enrollment drives.
- Create campaigns targeting parents, students and relevant local audiences.
- Coordinate with the admissions and sales teams to ensure proper lead follow-up.
- Track lead sources, inquiries, conversions and campaign performance.
- Recommend strategies to improve lead quality and admission conversions.
E. Paid Advertising & Meta Ads
- Plan, create, manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns on Meta platforms.
- Manage campaigns for Lead Generation, Awareness, Engagement, Traffic and Conversions.
- Develop appropriate audience targeting based on location, age, interests and campaign objectives.
- Monitor campaign budgets, CPL, CTR, CPM, reach, impressions, leads and conversion performance.
- Test different creatives, audiences, placements and campaign strategies.
- Optimize campaigns based on performance data.
- Prepare regular paid advertising performance reports.
- Ensure advertising expenditure is utilized effectively.
F. Community Management & Brand Reputation
- Respond to comments, direct messages and social media inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Coordinate with the admissions team for inquiries requiring further follow-up.
- Encourage students and parents to share testimonials, experiences and user-generated content.
- Monitor online brand sentiment and customer feedback.
- Maintain a positive and professional online image of The Vision Sports.
- Identify potential reputation issues and report them to management.
G. Event & Tournament Coverage
- Provide live social media coverage of tournaments, competitions, camps and academy events.
- Capture real-time photographs, videos, stories and match highlights.
- Prepare event-specific reels, stories and posts.
- Coordinate with coaches and event coordinators to capture important moments.
- Cover student achievements, awards, tournament results and special events.
- Be available to work on weekends and holidays when tournaments or important academy events are scheduled.
H. Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor social media performance on a regular basis.
- Track:
- Followers and follower growth
- Reach and impressions
- Engagement rate
- Reel/video views
- Website traffic
- Leads and inquiries
- Cost per lead
- Campaign performance
- Conversion performance
- Prepare weekly/monthly social media and digital marketing reports.
- Analyze performance data and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide actionable recommendations to management.
I. Digital Marketing & Website Support
- Support overall digital marketing activities of The Vision Sports.
- Coordinate website content updates, landing pages and promotional campaigns where required.
- Support SEO and local digital visibility initiatives.
- Coordinate with external agencies, freelancers or vendors when required.
- Maintain consistency between website, social media, advertisements and offline marketing materials.
- Explore new digital marketing opportunities for increasing brand awareness and admissions.
3. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Sports Management, Mass Media or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in social media management or digital marketing.
- Experience in sports, fitness, education, academy or youth-oriented businesses will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Knowledge of Meta Business Suite / Ads Manager.
- Experience with Canva, CapCut, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro or similar tools.
- Strong photography and videography skills.
- Good understanding of social media analytics and digital advertising.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of English, Hindi and Marathi will be preferred.

6. WORKING REQUIREMENTS
- The position requires regular coordination with different branches, coaches, centre heads, admissions teams and management.
- The employee may be required to travel between The Vision Sports centres for content creation, photography, videography and marketing activities.
- The employee must be available for important tournaments, events, competitions, camps and promotional activities, including weekends where required.
- The employee is expected to maintain confidentiality regarding company information, marketing strategies, customer data, campaign data and internal business information.
- All content created during employment for The Vision Sports shall be considered company property, subject to the terms of employment.
7. IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate is a creative, energetic and result-oriented digital marketer who can independently manage social media while also being actively involved in content production.
The candidate should not be limited to posting content. They should be capable of planning, shooting, editing, publishing, promoting, analyzing and improving digital campaigns with the ultimate objective of strengthening The Vision Sports brand and supporting admissions and business growth.
8. SALARY & CAREER GROWTH
Salary Range: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month
Final compensation will be determined based on:

Performance-based salary revision and career growth opportunities may be provided based on individual performance and organizational requirements.
