Job Description – Data Scientist Position

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and analytical Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing predictive models, analyzing large datasets, and delivering actionable insights that drive business decisions. The candidate should possess strong programming skills, a solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, and the ability to translate business problems into data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deploy predictive analytics and machine learning models for business use cases.
Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis (EDA).
Build, optimize, and maintain machine learning models for:
Forecasting
Classification
Regression
Anomaly Detection
Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and continuously improve model accuracy.
Design and implement automated machine learning pipelines and model monitoring frameworks.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, product teams, and engineers to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
Present findings, insights, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Document model assumptions, methodologies, experiments, and results.
Stay updated with the latest developments in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.

Required SkillsTechnical Skills

Strong proficiency in Python.
Hands-on experience with:
Pandas
NumPy
Scikit-learn
Strong understanding of:
Supervised Learning Algorithms
Unsupervised Learning Algorithms
Experience with SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
Knowledge of model evaluation metrics including:
RMSE
MAE
Precision
Recall
F1-Score
ROC-AUC
Experience with advanced machine learning frameworks such as:
XGBoost
LightGBM
CatBoost
Familiarity with Git and version control systems.

Preferred Skills

Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Matplotlib.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Understanding of MLOps concepts and deployment practices.
Experience working with large-scale datasets and data pipelines.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
Computer Science
Data Science
Statistics
Mathematics
Artificial Intelligence
Engineering or a related field
