EQUIP-HWC (Equitable, Quality Universal health coverage Implementation research Project for optimizing comprehensive primary health care through Health and Wellness Centres) is a multi-site implementation research and a national health priority project funded by ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) and Gates Foundation being conducted in Salumber district, Rajasthan, in collaboration with the district health department. This implementation research project focuses on developing a successful model to deliver 12 comprehensive primary healthcare (CPHC) services through the public health system across all health and wellness centers by emphasizing quality, equity and core values. This project will be undertaken by the Centre for Healthcare at IIM Udaipur in collaboration with Basic Healthcare Services.

Research led centre at IIMU, Centre for Healthcare, was conceptualized in the early 2020 to fill the gap of rigorous healthcare research in India on Indian context from the management lens. Its objective is to bring together academicians from management, public health, practitioners, and research active medical professionals to understand and solve fundamental issues in healthcare in low and middle-income countries (LMIC).
Basic Healthcare Services is a not-for-profit organization that provides primary healthcare services in tribal-rural belt of Udaipur and Salumber districts. It reaches the most vulnerable communities through a network of responsive primary healthcare centres called AMRIT clinics. BHS offers a continuum of preventive, promotive, and curative care while using a combination of innovations in human resources and technology. BHS is one of the leading voices on primary healthcare in India and extensively documents and writes on issues related to healthcare of the marginalized populations in lay press and scientific journals.
Professionals with MBBS/BAMS/BHMS/BDS and MPH/Healthcare Management/PG Diploma or Masters in Anthropology/ Social Work/ Development Studies.
- Working knowledge of computers, MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail)
- The project implementation area is Salumber district, Rajasthan. The selected candidates will have to stay in the field area in Salumber district for the entire duration of the project
- Good command over English and Hindi languages
- Excellent written and communications skills, interpersonal skills, organizational and networking skills
- Previous experience in data collection activities, preferably in public health.
- Good understanding of public health system & national health programs
- Conduct data collection as per project protocol
- Ensure data quality assurance through regular checks and validation
- Report daily field activities and progress to the project team
- Engage with stakeholders and community to provide inputs on the ground situation
Rs 31,000 for freshers with increment depending on the relevant years of experience and qualification

This job contract will be for 12 months, renewable for additional terms based on satisfactory performance and project resources.
