Job Title: Academic Head
Department: Academics / Training
Location: Jaipur
Experience: 5–8 years in academic/training operations, preferably in the Skill Development / Vocational Training sector

Role Summary

The Academic Head will be responsible for managing academic operations and maintaining training quality across centres. The role involves trainer management, SSC coordination, TOT, curriculum implementation, assessments, academic audits, MIS reporting, and continuous improvement of training standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Training of Trainers (TOT)

Identify and evaluate suitable trainers.
Coordinate with SSCs for TOT nominations and requirements.
Manage TOT documentation, schedules and completion.
Track trainer certification and maintain relevant records.

2. SSC Coordination

Maintain regular coordination with Sector Skill Councils.
Coordinate regarding job-role approvals, trainer certifications and assessments.
Ensure compliance with curriculum and other SSC academic requirements.
Resolve academic issues and maintain effective SSC relationships.

3. Session Plan Management

Prepare and review job-role-wise session plans.
Ensure proper mapping with prescribed curriculum.
Ensure session plans are available with all trainers.
Monitor effective implementation at training centres.

4. Domain, IT & Soft Skills Trainer Management

Manage trainer onboarding and deployment.
Verify qualifications, experience and certifications.
Map trainers to appropriate job roles and centres.
Monitor trainer performance and maintain the trainer database.

5. Academic Quality Monitoring

Monitor the overall quality of training delivery.
Review classroom, practical and lab sessions.
Identify academic gaps and initiate corrective actions.
Ensure consistent academic standards across all centres.

6. Curriculum & Content Management

Ensure proper implementation of SSC-prescribed curriculum.
Monitor updates related to QPs, NOS, Trainer Guides and Participant Handbooks.
Ensure trainers use appropriate and updated learning materials.
Recommend improvements in academic content wherever required.

7. Assessment Coordination

Coordinate with SSCs and Assessment Agencies.
Ensure candidate eligibility and assessment readiness.
Coordinate assessment schedules and requirements.
Track assessments, results and pending actions.

8. Training Centre Academic Audits

Conduct regular academic audits and centre visits.
Review trainer performance and session-plan implementation.
Monitor attendance, lab utilization and training delivery.
Identify gaps and ensure timely corrective actions.

9. MIS & Academic Reporting

Prepare daily, weekly and monthly academic reports.
Track trainer status, TOT status and batch progress.
Maintain SSC-wise academic status.
Monitor key academic performance indicators and submit reports to management.

10. Trainer Capacity Building

Organize refresher training and orientation programmes.
Conduct workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Develop continuous professional development initiatives.
Improve trainer capabilities and overall training effectiveness.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of the Skill Development / Vocational Training ecosystem.
Experience in working with SSCs, QPs, NOS and Assessment Agencies.
Strong trainer and academic team management skills.
Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, MIS and reporting.
Strong communication, coordination and presentation skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple centres and stakeholders.
Willingness to travel for centre visits and academic audits.

Educational Qualification

Graduate/Postgraduate in Education, Management, Training & Development or a relevant discipline. Relevant certification in Skill Development/Training will be an added advantage.

Curriculum and SSC compliance.
Training quality and delivery standards.
Assessment readiness and result tracking.
Accuracy and timely submission of academic MIS.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
