Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of workers on-site, ensuring proper execution of tasks.
- Review and understand project plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure all workers follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
- Monitor the quality of work and ensure it meets the required standards.
- Assign tasks to laborers and subcontractors, and ensure adequate resources are available.
- Keep accurate records of daily site activities, including labor hours, materials used, and any issues that arise.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper operation and maintenance.
- Report any project delays, accidents, or discrepancies to the Site Manager or Project Manager.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and health and safety laws.
- Provide training and guidance to less experienced workers.
- Maintain effective communication between workers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of progress reports and ensure the project is on track to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Civil Foreman or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with a wide range of personnel.
- Familiarity with safety practices and equipment on construction sites.
- Knowledge of construction software and tools (e.g., project management software, basic computer skills).
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is a plus.
- Minimum of [5-10] years of experience in construction and supervising workers in the civil engineering field.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
