JMJ Jewellers is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Branch Manager to lead and manage our jewellery showroom operations.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial, supervisory, or senior sales role, preferably in the jewellery retail industry.
We are looking for someone with strong jewellery domain knowledge, sales expertise, customer-handling skills, team management capabilities, and the ability to achieve branch targets.
Freshers are not eligible for this position.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the overall branch performance, leading the showroom team, driving sales, maintaining customer relationships, ensuring proper inventory and operational procedures, and achieving business targets.
Key ResponsibilitiesBranch Operations
- Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the jewellery showroom.
- Ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the branch.
- Implement and maintain company policies, SOPs, and operational procedures.
- Monitor showroom discipline, cleanliness, product presentation, and customer service standards.
- Ensure proper coordination between sales, billing, inventory, and management teams.
- Handle operational issues and resolve them promptly.
Sales & Business Development
- Take responsibility for achieving monthly and yearly branch sales targets.
- Develop strategies to increase showroom sales and customer walk-ins.
- Monitor individual and team sales performance.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales, repeat purchases, and customer referrals.
- Encourage the team to cross-sell and upsell jewellery products.
- Follow up with existing customers and potential customers.
- Support promotional campaigns, festive sales, jewellery schemes, and other marketing activities.
Team Management
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the showroom sales team.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor daily performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
- Train team members on jewellery products, sales techniques, customer service, and company procedures.
- Identify performance gaps and take corrective actions.
- Maintain a positive and professional working environment.
Customer Relationship Management
- Ensure excellent customer service throughout the sales process.
- Personally handle important customers and high-value enquiries when required.
- Resolve customer complaints and escalations professionally.
- Build long-term relationships with customers.
- Encourage repeat business and customer referrals.
- Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
Jewellery Product Knowledge
The candidate should have practical knowledge of the jewellery retail business, including:
- Gold jewellery
- Diamond jewellery
- Silver jewellery
- Precious and semi-precious stones
- Jewellery designs and product categories
- Gold purity and karat concepts
- Jewellery weight and pricing
- Making charges and wastage concepts
- Diamond basics and quality parameters
- Jewellery billing and sales procedures
- Jewellery schemes / savings schemes, where applicable
- Basic understanding of hallmarking and jewellery documentation
Stock & Inventory Management
- Monitor jewellery stock and ensure proper handling of products.
- Ensure proper tagging, stock movement, and documentation.
- Coordinate with the inventory team for stock verification.
- Ensure proper procedures are followed for stock transfers and returns.
- Support periodic stock audits and physical verification.
- Maintain strict control over high-value jewellery inventory.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Prepare and review daily sales reports.
- Monitor branch targets and achievement.
- Track individual salesperson performance.
- Analyse sales trends and identify areas for improvement.
- Report branch performance, operational issues, and customer feedback to management.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting.

- Experience in the jewellery industry is strongly preferred.

Salary & Incentives

The final salary will be discussed during the interview and decided based on the candidate's experience, skills, jewellery domain knowledge, leadership capabilities, and overall suitability for the position.
