Role overview
We are looking for a Chartered Accountant to head the Accounts function and lead a team of 10–12 finance professionals. The role owns end-to-end financial management, statutory compliance, monthly MIS, and treasury for a high-volume, multi-vertical export business. The incumbent will be a hands-on leader who can drive both compliance rigour and team performance.
Key responsibilities:-
Accounting & reporting
- Finalization of standalone and consolidated accounts in line with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS)
- *Monthly closure of books and timely submission of monthly accounts* to management — P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis
- Prepare and circulate monthly MIS dashboards, vertical-wise profitability, debtor/creditor ageing, inventory reports, and KPI trackers
- Quarterly and annual book closures, and management reporting packs
Taxation & compliance
- Own GST compliance end-to-end: GSTR-1, 3B, 9 & 9C, ITC reconciliation, LUT/bond management, export refunds, departmental audits, and assessments
- Oversee direct tax compliance: TDS/TCS, advance tax, corporate income tax, tax audit (Form 3CD), transfer pricing where applicable, and scrutiny assessments
- Manage FEMA-compliant inward/outward remittances, EEFC operations, agent commissions, and export incentive accounting (RoDTEP, Duty Drawback, Advance Authorization)
- Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities
Treasury & banking
- Manage working capital, banking relationships, packing credit (PCFC/EPC), LC discounting, BG/SBLC, and treasury operations
- Monitor forex exposure and hedging where required
- Cash flow planning and fund-flow management
Team leadership & collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 10–12 accounts personnel — set KRAs, conduct reviews, manage performance, and build a strong second line
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Exports, Logistics, Procurement, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure smooth commercial and financial workflows
- Coordinate with leadership on commercial finance, costing for new ventures, capex evaluation, and ad-hoc strategic projects
Controls & systems
- Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and ERP processes
- Drive digitization and process automation initiatives within the function
- Ensure data integrity and audit readiness at all times
Required qualifications:-
Chartered Accountant — mandatory (no exceptions)
- 5–10 years of post-qualification experience
- Proven track record of finalization of accounts at companies with substantial turnover (₹100+ crore)
- Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, direct tax, and FEMA
- Demonstrated experience leading teams of 8+ members
- Hands-on with Tally / SAP / Oracle or equivalent ERP; strong Excel and MIS skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred:-
- Background in an export-oriented company, ideally in tea, edible oils, agri-commodities, or FMCG
- Familiarity with international trade documentation, LCs, and cross-border banking
- Exposure to multi-entity group structures and consolidations

Compensation:- Commensurate with experience and industry standards
