We are looking for a Civil Engineer to manage and supervise civil construction activities, particularly road construction and infrastructure development work. The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, civil measurements, site supervision, billing, material estimation, and contractor management.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor day-to-day road construction and civil work at site.
- Prepare, check, and understand BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and quantity estimates.
- Take accurate site measurements for excavation, earthwork, PCC, RCC, concrete, road layers, drainage, etc.
- Prepare quantity calculations and verify contractor measurements and bills.
- Monitor road construction activities as per approved drawings, specifications, and required quality standards.
- Check levels, dimensions, slopes, gradients, thickness, alignment, and road formation.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, supervisors, and workers for timely completion of work.
- Monitor consumption of cement, sand, aggregate, steel, concrete, and other construction materials.
- Maintain daily progress reports, measurement sheets, work records, and site documentation.
- Ensure proper quality, safety, housekeeping, and work practices at the construction site.
- Identify site issues and coordinate with management for timely resolution.
- Monitor project progress against schedule and ensure completion within the 6-month contract period.
Requirements
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in civil construction/site work preferred.
- Hands-on experience in road construction and infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ, estimation, billing, quantity surveying, and civil measurements.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel.
- Strong site supervision, contractor handling, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Candidate should be willing to work at the Markal site.
