Full job description

Job Summary

S. G. Engineers is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to independently manage day-to-day accounting operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Manage complete accounting activities independently.
Maintain books of accounts and ensure accurate financial records.
Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Prepare and reconcile bank statements.
Process vendor payments and customer receipts.
Perform GST, TDS, PF, and other statutory compliances.
Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, and other regulatory filings.
Manage payroll processing and employee reimbursements.
Coordinate with auditors, bankers, and consultants.
Prepare MIS reports, financial statements, and monthly reports for management review.
Monitor cash flow and maintain proper documentation.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation laws, and company policies.
Support budgeting and financial planning activities.

Candidates will be considered only if they possess the following mandatory skills and qualifications:

Hands-on experience in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime.
Practical knowledge of E-Invoice and E-Way Bill generation.
Experience in GST and TDS computation, return preparation, and filing.
Ability to independently manage Petty Cash and maintain accurate records.
Sound knowledge of tax calculations and statutory compliance, including timely submission of tax returns.
Experience in auditing and verifying financial records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and strict confidentiality of financial data.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, and ledger management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting-related software.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and efficiently handle all day-to-day accounting activities with minimal supervision.
Good communication and organizational skills.
