Reports to: Aircraft Engineer.
You will be part of our Engineering team in Chennai, ensuring our aircraft are maintained to the highest standards to deliver safe and reliable travel experiences. You will support daily operational requirements, learn essential technical skills and gain valuable exposure across engineering operations. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in aircraft maintenance in a dynamic international airline environment.
- Perform aircraft maintenance for Cathay Group and third‑party aircraft under supervision
- Support operational duties including diversions, charters and disruption recovery
- Monitor third‑party service provider performance and follow up on issues
- Perform servicing and maintenance for ground equipment and station facilities
- Support Cathay Quality Assurance, Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department and / or third-party audits, follow up and rectify the audit findings within the required timelines as directed
- Manage station administration including documentation and passes
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety standards
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
- Attend station meetings and engage in team communication
- Support emergency, accident and crisis response duties as required
Academic Qualifications
- Should have completed a Diploma in aircraft maintenance engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
- Demonstrably aptitude and understanding of aircraft maintenance operations.
- Have (or be willing to receive) induction training / on the job training as required covering but not limited to:
- Aircraft and Ramp Safety Awareness
- Company Procedures Awareness training
- Human Factors Awareness training
- Other training as requested
- Four-wheeler driving licence.
