Full job description

Job Title: Clinical Pharmacologist

Job Purpose

The Clinical Pharmacologist evaluates drug safety, efficacy, and dosage optimization in human subjects. Operating at the intersection of medicine and pharmacology, this role designs clinical trials, analyzes pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) data, ensures regulatory compliance, and advises multidisciplinary healthcare teams on optimal medication use.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Ward Rounds: Conduct regular patient rounds with consultants to evaluate medication therapy, identify potential drug-drug interactions, and recommend dosage adjustments.
Pharmacokinetics & TDM: Perform therapeutic drug monitoring, drug clearance calculations, and dose individualization for high-risk patients (e.g., ICU, renal/hepatic impairment).
Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR): Monitor, analyze, and document ADRs and medication errors; manage Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA reporting.
Formulary & Stewardship: Assist in enforcing the hospital drug formulary, managing High-Risk/LASA medication protocols, and driving Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs (AMSP).
Patient & Clinical Education: Provide discharge medication counseling to patients and conduct pharmacology training for nursing and medical staff.
Accreditation Support: Maintain pharmacy clinical documentation, audit logs, and safety protocols to clear NABH/JCI non-conformities and compliance requirements.
Research & Regulatory: Design and execution of investigator-initiated studies or phase I–IV clinical trials; working knowledge of GCP guidelines and pharmacovigilance protocols.

Requirement:

PharmD, Active medical license/registration
Experience: 0 to 3 years of clinical experience
