Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HVAC Draftsman with 0 to 2 years of experience to join our engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with our senior HVAC engineers and project managers to translate system design concepts into precise 2D AutoCAD layouts, shop drawings, and installation schematics for Carrier, Toshiba, and other major HVAC equipment lines.
Key Responsibilities
- 2D Drafting & Layouts: Prepare detailed HVAC drawings using AutoCAD, including ducting design, chilled water piping, refrigerant piping, equipment layouts (FCUs, AHUs, Outdoor Units, Cassettes), and diffusers/grilles.
- Coordination Drawings: Assist in coordinating HVAC drawings with civil, electrical, plumbing, and structural site plans to identify and resolve spatial clashes.
- Revisions & Updates: Modify, update, and maintain drawing sets based on site changes, engineering markups, and client feedback.
- As-Built & Shop Drawings: Prepare shop drawings for site installation and final "As-Built" drawings upon project completion.
- Documentation & BOM: Maintain organized digital archives of design files and revisions. Assist in generating Bill of Materials (BOM) and equipment quantity take-offs for procurement.
- Site Support: Coordinate with site engineers to ensure drawing layouts match real-world installation conditions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Drafting, or Draftsmanship (B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering welcome).
- Experience: 0 to 2 years in HVAC or MEP drafting (Freshers with strong AutoCAD proficiency are encouraged to apply).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (knowledge of Revit MEP or 3D CAD software is a plus).
- Fundamental understanding of HVAC components (VRF/VRV systems, ducting, split units, ventilation, and piping).
- Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and technical specifications.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
- Punctual, proactive, and willing to learn industry standards.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
