Full job description

. Gold Appraisal & Valuation

Examine gold ornaments to determine purity, weight, and authenticity.
Conduct standard tests such as touchstone testing, acid tests, and karat verification.
Identify and deduct the weight of stones, beads, and other non-gold components.
Prepare accurate valuation reports .

2. Loan Process Support

Provide appraisal results to loan officers for loan sanctioning.
Ensure appraisal details are correctly entered in registers and software.
Assist in calculating eligible loan amounts based on approved gold rates.

3. Compliance & Safety

Follow Nidhi Limited guidelines and internal policies related to gold loans.
Ensure safe handling, packing, sealing, and storage of pledged jewels in lockers.
Maintain strict confidentiality and prevent misuse or mishandling of ornaments.
Identify fake, adulterated, or low-quality gold and report immediately.

4. Member Service

Explain valuation methods to members in a transparent manner.
Address customer queries regarding purity, net weight, and loan value.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain daily appraisal records, registers, and stock verification reports.
Support internal/external audits related to gold loans.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 1–5 years of experience in gold appraisal (Nidhi, NBFC, bank, or pawnbroker).
Knowledge of gold purity testing, hallmarking standards, and valuation techniques.
Ability to detect fake or tampered gold.
Strong attention to detail and integrity.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Minimum Qualification: 12th pass; certification in gold appraisal is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹18,000.00 per month
