Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed by the Nuclear Medicine Physician.
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using Gamma Camera, SPECT, SPECT-CT, and PET-CT systems.
Position patients accurately and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort and cooperation.
Monitor patients before, during, and after imaging procedures for any adverse reactions.
Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and the public.
Perform daily quality control (QC) and calibration of nuclear medicine equipment.
Maintain accurate patient records, scan documentation, and imaging data in RIS/PACS.
Ensure proper handling, storage, transportation, and disposal of radioactive materials according to regulatory guidelines.
Coordinate with Nuclear Medicine Physicians, Radiologists, Medical Physicists, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Assist in radionuclide therapy procedures and post-therapy patient care when required.
Monitor inventory levels of radiopharmaceuticals, consumables, and emergency supplies.
Maintain cleanliness and infection control practices within the Nuclear Medicine department.
Participate in departmental quality improvement programs, audits, and accreditation activities.
Respond appropriately to radiation emergencies or equipment malfunctions.
Stay updated with advances in nuclear medicine technology and participate in continuing education programs.
