Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Architectural Draftsman with exposure to MEP Drafting to join our interior design team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate architectural and MEP drawings, coordinating with design and project teams, and ensuring drawings are prepared as per project requirements and site conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed architectural, interior, and MEP drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
- Prepare layouts and working drawings for Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and other MEP services.
- Develop detailed drawings based on architectural and interior design concepts.
- Coordinate architectural, interior, and MEP drawings to identify and resolve clashes.
- Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, furniture layouts, and service drawings.
- Incorporate revisions based on inputs from architects, interior designers, consultants, and site teams.
- Coordinate with MEP consultants and project teams for drawing requirements.
- Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, levels, and compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare as-built drawings based on actual site conditions.
- Maintain proper documentation and revision control of drawings.
- Assist the design and execution teams with technical drawings and site-related drafting requirements.
- Ensure drawings are delivered within project timelines.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and architectural drafting.
- Good understanding of MEP drafting and coordination.
- Knowledge of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting layouts will be an advantage.
- Understanding of interior design drawings and construction detailing.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Good knowledge of dimensions, scales, materials, and construction details.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work with architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, and site teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma / Certificate in Architectural Drafting, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or related field.
- Prior experience with an Interior Design, Architecture, or Construction firm will be preferred.
- Experience in preparing MEP drawings for commercial, residential, hospitality, or retail interiors will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP / Revit Architecture / SketchUp will be a plus.
