We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the finance department with day-to-day operations, ensure accurate financial record-keeping, and assist in compliance with statutory requirements. This role is perfect for someone who is well-versed in Tally ERP, GST filing, and routine accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily accounting entries in Tally ERP.
Assist with preparation and filing of GST returns, TDS, and other statutory compliance.
Reconcile bank statements, vendor payments, and customer receipts.
Maintain accounts payable and receivable records.
Prepare vouchers, invoices, and supporting financial documentation.
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Support audits by providing necessary data and reconciliations.
Maintain petty cash and expense tracking.
Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal teams for finance-related queries.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent qualification).
Proficiency in Tally ERP is mandatory.
Hands-on experience in GST filing, TDS, and general compliance.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
Good command of MS Excel and other basic office software.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

Experience working with auditors and tax consultants.
Knowledge of payroll processing.
Familiarity with other accounting software/tools is a plus.
