Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Area Business Manager (ABM) to drive business
growth in the Oncology segment. The role involves developing strong relationships with oncologists
and key healthcare stakeholders, driving product adoption, expanding the customer base, and
achieving assigned business targets.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication, scientific engagement, customer
management, and business development skills, with a passion for the oncology and healthcare
industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets for the assigned territory.
Develop and execute territory-wise business plans and customer strategies.
Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
Drive adoption and prescription of oncology products/services.
Monitor territory performance and take corrective actions to achieve targets.
2. Doctor & KOL Engagement
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with oncologists, surgeons,
pathologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and high-potential customers.
Conduct scientific discussions and product presentations.
Organize and participate in CMEs, scientific meetings, tumour boards, workshops, and other
medical engagements.
3. Customer & Account Management
Develop strategic relationships with key hospitals, cancer centres, laboratories, and
institutions.
Understand customer requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
Ensure timely follow-up on leads, samples, reports, and customer queries.
Work closely with internal teams to resolve operational or service-related issues.
4. Territory Management
Develop an effective doctor and institution coverage plan.
Maintain regular field activity and ensure quality customer interactions.
Identify potential territories, accounts, and institutions for business expansion.
Track competitor activities, market trends, pricing, and customer preferences.
5. Sales Analytics & Reporting
Maintain accurate daily/weekly/monthly sales and activity reports.
Analyse territory performance, customer productivity, and business trends.
Prepare forecasts and action plans for achieving targets.
Ensure timely submission of MIS and other management reports.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Operations, Customer Support, and other
internal teams.
Ensure smooth execution of customer initiatives and business programs.
Provide market feedback and insights to the leadership team.
Support the implementation of new products, campaigns, and strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related
field.
MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing or Healthcare Management will be an advantage.
2–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, diagnostics, oncology or healthcare sales.
Oncology experience will be strongly preferred.

Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
