Job Description
Responsibilities:
Technical Accounting & Processing – Handle and review end-to-end processing of technical statements of account (SoA) for premiums, claims, and risk transactions across all reinsurance businesses
Contract Setup & Interpretation – Review reinsurance contracts, wordings, and slips to accurately set up treaty and facultative agreements in operational systems
Financial Booking & Reconciliation – Review and reconcile financial transactions related to premiums, claims, recoveries, and brokerage in accordance with contract terms and accounting policies
Reinsurance Calculations – Perform & review complex calculations including reinstatement premiums, profit commissions, sliding scale adjustments, and no-claims bonuses
Cash & Receivables Management – Manage & provide oversight to unallocated cash and aged receivable clearance, ensuring timely identification, matching, and resolution of outstanding items
Stakeholder & Broker Engagement – Liaise with brokers, reinsurers, and internal finance/underwriting teams to resolve data discrepancies and maintain accurate records
Reporting & Controls – Support management and regulatory reporting needs, maintain audit trails, and ensure compliance with internal controls and reinsurance governance standards
Continuous Improvement & Controls – Strengthen process controls, identify automation opportunities, and drive consistency and efficiency across Reinsurance operations
Governance & Reporting – Drive structured governance through regular reviews, dashboards, and performance metrics to ensure transparency and control
Qualifications
Bachelors - Actuarial Science, Bachelors - Economics, Bachelors - Finance, Bachelors - Risk Management and Insurance, Masters - Statistics
Certifications
Associate in Claims (AIC) - The Institutes (USA)The Institutes (USA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) - ACFEACFE
