Full job description

Position Overview:
This position involves leading the development of innovative food and beverage products from concept to commercialization, ensuring products meet consumer preferences, nutritional needs, and market trends. The role requires expertise in food science, culinary techniques, ingredient functionality, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead culinary product development: ideation, recipe formulation, prototyping, testing, and market launch.
2. Drive culinary innovation aligned with food trends, flavors, and nutrition.
3. Collaborate with R&D, marketing, supply chain, and manufacturing for scalable product development.
4. Develop recipes, source quality ingredients, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
5. Conduct ingredient dosage calculations, calorific values, proximate analysis, and shelf-life studies.
6. Perform market research and gather consumer insights to guide product ideation.
7. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP, FDA) and quality standards.
8. Coordinate product testing and quality control for flavor, texture, and consumer acceptance.
9. Work with packaging teams to ensure appealing and functional product presentation.
10. Communicate and brief customers on product concepts and innovations.
11. Manage multiple projects: timelines, budgets, resources, and reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

Master’s or Ph.D. in Food Science, Food Technology, Culinary Arts, or related field

Responsibility and Decision-Making Authority:

Empowered to make decisions, and authority to make cross functional decisions in partnership with peers of other functions.

Experience:
3–5 years in food product development or applied food science R&D

Travel:

Ability to travel as required by role

Location:

Bio 360 Lifesciences Park, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala

Remuneration:
As per industry. Will consider higher for deserving candidates

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹550,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
