Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled IT Support Engineer to assist in managing and maintaining network infrastructure. The role involves network monitoring, troubleshooting, hardware configuration, and ensuring system security and uptime.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of network systems
· Monitor network performance and ensure system availability
· Troubleshoot network issues (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi connectivity)
· Configure and manage routers, switches, and firewalls
· Support network security by implementing basic security measures
· Maintain network documentation, logs, and reports
· Assist in server maintenance and system backups
· Coordinate with vendors and senior administrators for issue resolution
· Provide technical support to internal teams and clients
· Support CCTV, biometric, and other network-connected devices
Required Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Networking, or related field
· 1–3 years of experience in networking or IT support
· Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing)
· Understanding of LAN/WAN and wireless networks
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Good communication skills
· Malayalam/English language proficiency preferred
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux systems.
- Understanding of networking concepts (LAN, WAN, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, printers).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Requirements:
· Knowledge of backup tools and disaster recovery concepts.
· Experience with Active Directory and user management.
· Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell/Shell) is an advantage.
· Familiarity with firewall and security configurations.
Working Conditions:
Willingness to work in shifts or on-call support if required.
Ability to respond to critical system issues outside working hours.
