Full job description

A Civil Draftsman in a construction company creates precise technical drawings, layouts, and 3D models from engineer sketches using CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D). Key duties include producing structural, RCC, and MEP drawings, conducting site visits for verification, ensuring compliance with building codes, and assisting project teams with design revisions.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting & Design: Prepare detailed 2D/3D civil engineering drawings, topographical maps, and structural plans (RCC/steel).
Technical Compliance: Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, building codes, and project specifications.
Collaboration: Coordinate with engineers and architects to translate design concepts into actionable construction documents.
Site Support: Conduct site visits to gather information, verify dimensions, and assist in interpreting drawings for construction crews.
Revisions & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, manage document control, and update drawings based on design changes.
Calculation: Calculate dimensions, material requirements, and structural specifications. LinkedIn +6

Required Skills & Qualifications

Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and potentially BIM software or SketchUp.
