Position: senior Design Engineer
Roles & Responsibilities
· Assess client needs and prepare conceptual design studies, including flowsheet development, equipment sizing, layout requirements, and capital and operating cost projections.
· Prepare 3D/2D design drawings of plant, equipment, piping, buildings or other structures are required.
· Design treatment facilities, pumping stations, reservoirs, and distribution and collection systems, and confirm designs using modelling techniques.
· Thorough knowledge & should be familiar with design codes and standards, client and project specific specifications, procedures in details, vendor data and general arrangements and other requirements.
· Ability to work on a variety of scales, designing small package plants as well as large municipal and industrial treatment facilities, pumping stations, reservoirs, distribution systems, and sewers.
· Able to design Process Flow Charts, P&ID’s, Hydraulic Flow Diagrams and sectional views for the total treatment plant.
· Prepare engineering reports, drawings, and specifications for water and wastewater projects.
· Prepare equipment data sheets and maintain data sheets for all the equipment, valves, pumps, blowers, compressors & other accessories involved in water treatment sector.
· Prepare mechanical specifications using engineering methods and standards that meet the user requirements and maintain specifications for all the machineries used in WTP, WWTP, and ETP & STP.
· Prepares sketches and performs engineering calculations. Develop and design Mechanical / Piping engineering related documents and drawings in order to meet project and client requirements.
· Ability to calculate and finalize pump head selection, pipe size selection, flow calculations, valves selections in relation to water treatment systems.
· Prepare project specifications and maintain specification for project specific design criteria incorporating project and client specific design requirements and standards and scope of work.
· Assists in preparation and ongoing development of technical specifications, design guides, guide specifications and design control procedures.
· Establish database and library for WTP/WWTP/ETP/STP Piping Engineering/Designing. Initiates and reviews material lists, data sheets, specifications, model review, and design reports.
· Participates in receipt and analysis of work requirement.
· Evaluates vendor bids and drawings to ensure compliance with specifications.
· Performs routine engineering work requiring application of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
· Prepare and update facility operation and maintenance manuals.
· Reviewing of CAD Operators and Designers work.
· Suggest developments in design practices and standards to improve the efficiency of the design group.
· Measure plant costs, efficiencies, yields and quality of product as directed. Seeks to identify areas for cost savings.
· Technically assist Procurement Department in project bidding, procuring equipment, materials, and services relating piping discipline.
· Capable of using software relating to piping engineering calculation/modelling and engineering management work.
· Participate in mechanical engineering assignments under close supervision. Assignments may involve research, product development, laboratory testing, engineering design, installation, commissioning of equipment, maintenance or construction, and applications software development.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
