1. oversees the entire manufacturing lifecycle of furniture (wood, metal, upholstery).
2. responsible for production planning, quality control, inventory management, and leading shop-floor staff to ensure products are built safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Execution: Develop daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing schedules to meet sales targets and dispatch deadlines.
- Quality Control: Establish and enforce rigorous quality standards for prototypes and finished goods, addressing defects or deviations.
- Material Management: Oversee raw material usage (plywood, MDF, solid wood, metals, hardware), control inventory, and implement cost-saving measures to minimize wastage.
- Team Leadership: Train, supervise, and allocate tasks to a team of carpenters, assembly workers, machine operators, and polishers.
- Machinery & Safety Maintenance: Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and safety compliance for woodworking and assembly machinery (e.g., CNC routers, edge banders, panel saws).
- Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with design, procurement, and sales teams to align production with client specifications and material availability.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Typically 5 to \(10+\) years of experience in furniture manufacturing, interior fit-outs, or modular furniture factory operations.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of joinery techniques, finishing/polishing processes, and CAD software for design coordination.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Wood Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent floor management, problem-solving, and communication skills to resolve manufacturing bottlenecks
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
