Full job description

We are seeking a Low Voltage Design Engineer to deliver design outputs for railway infrastructure projects in Sweden from the GCC (India).

The role focuses on production, coordination, and quality delivery of low-voltage design packages, ensuring compliance with Swedish standards and alignment with project teams in Sweden.

Low Voltage Systems Design

Deliver LV design packages for:
- Concept, Detailed, and IFC stages
Prepare:
- Schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts
- Cable routing plans and schedules
Ensure on-time, high-quality delivery as per project timelines
Design systems including:
- Lighting & emergency lighting
- LV distribution, UPS
- CCTV, PA/PIDS, access control, fire alarm
Perform:
- Load calculations and circuit design
- Cable sizing and equipment selection

Sweden Compliance & Standards

Follow:
- Trafikverket standards
- EN / IEC requirements
Use Sweden-specific:
- Naming conventions
- Templates and delivery processes

Coordination (GCC–Sweden Model)

Work closely with Sweden-based teams
Address:
- Design comments and mark-ups
- Technical clarifications
Participate in:
- Design coordination and review meetings

Multi-Discipline Integration

Coordinate with:
- Signalling, Telecom, OLE, Civil teams
Ensure
- interface alignment and clash-free design

Quality & Productivity (Key GCC Focus)

Deliver:
- First-time-right outputs
- Self-checked and compliant designs
Follow:
- QA/QC processes and document control
Support:
- Standardization and efficiency improvements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Electrical design for rail or transportation projects.
- Familiarity with Swedish and European rail telecom standards.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of:
- LV systems (lighting, UPS, panels, fire alarm, CCTV)
- Cable routing, earthing, power distribution [JD- Low Vo...r Engineer | Outlook]
Ability to:
- Read electrical drawings and schematics [JD- Low Vo...r Engineer | Outlook]
- Perform electrical calculations
Other Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within deadlines.

Behavioral Skills / Competencies: -

Strong delivery and ownership mindset
Ability to work in offshore–onsite model (India–Sweden)
Good communication with global teams
Detail-oriented and quality-focused

Software Skills: -

Working experience on Bentley MicroStation
Knowledge of Bentley OpenRail and ProjectWise will be preferred.
