India Eye Hospital in Greater Noida is a social enterprise committed to providing high-quality, affordable, and high-volume eye care. Currently, we operate a modern facility located at Knowledge Park 3, Greater Noida. India Eye Hospital is committed to eliminating unnecessary blindness in Uttar Pradesh by establishing a network of modern eye hospitals and research centers across the state.
Operating in Greater Noida since 2023, we have already performed 2,800 cataract surgeries using Phaco. We plan to conduct 2,800 cataract surgeries in the next year, using Phaco techniques.
Over the next three years, we are setting up a Super Specialty Eye Hospital with 15 Operating Theaters and 12 Clinics in Greater Noida, Knowledge Park 3 on a seven-acre plot. We are being guided by LAICO – Aravind Eye Care System, Dr. Shroff’s Eye Hospital, Darya Ganj, Delhi and leading eye surgeons from USA.
Job Description: As an Optometrist at India Eye, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality eye care services to our patients. You will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, assist in diagnosing vision problems, prescribe corrective eyeglasses, or contact lenses, and contribute to the overall success of our eye care practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients and meticulously document findings, followed by clear initials with a signature, date, and time.
- Perform accurate refractions, prescribe glasses in a clearly specified format, and ensure timely delivery of prescriptions to our in-house optical counter.
- Conduct diagnostics and OPD procedures, including Slit Lamp examination, Applanation Tonometry, Keratometry, A-scan Biometry, Visual Field analysis, and more.
- Clearly specify provisional diagnoses and provide notes on the optometry-based management plan.
- Communicate instructions clearly to the Patient Care staff regarding the planned procedures.
- Take on the responsibility for training Ophthalmic Assistants.
- Oversee optometry processes during camps.
- Perform post-operative patient follow-ups at VC's and camp sites.
- Establish schedules and ensure the calibration of all OPD optometry equipment in Secondary Centers and Vision Centers.
- Actively contributes to the overall growth plans of the Optometry and Optical departments.
Candidate Profile:
- B.Sc. Optometry and fellowship from a leading eye hospital system
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive eye examinations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of current eyeglass and contact lens options.
- Dedication to providing patient-centered care.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Experience in Optom sales
