Description – Freelance Video Editor

About Mumtree

Mumtree is a growing kids’ play and furniture brand creating innovative play equipment, wooden products, and experiential play spaces for homes and schools.

We are looking for a creative Freelance Video Editor who can transform raw product and activity footage into engaging, high-quality videos for social media, e-commerce product listings, advertisements, and brand communication.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Video Editing

Edit engaging Instagram Reels, Facebook videos, Stories, and short-form social media content.
Convert raw product, kids’ activity, manufacturing, and project footage into engaging videos.
Create strong hooks and maintain an effective video flow to improve viewer retention.
Add suitable text overlays, transitions, animations, sound effects, and music.
Edit videos according to current social media content trends while maintaining Mumtree’s brand identity.
Create different versions and formats of videos for social media platforms.

2. Product Listing Videos

Create clean and professional product videos for the Mumtree website and e-commerce marketplaces.
Highlight product features, benefits, dimensions, materials, and key USPs through videos.
Add product feature callouts, text animations, icons, and graphics.
Convert raw product footage into structured product demonstration and explainer videos.
Create installation, assembly, and product usage videos wherever required.
Optimize videos for different product listing and marketplace requirements.

3. Advertisement & Marketing Videos

Edit video creatives for Meta Ads and digital marketing campaigns.
Create short, conversion-focused videos with strong opening hooks and clear calls to action.
Develop multiple video variations from the same raw footage for ad testing.
Edit product launch, promotional, sale, and campaign videos.
Create videos targeted towards parents, schools, and other Mumtree customer segments.

4. Brand & Project Videos

Create videos showcasing Mumtree PlayLab and play-area projects.
Develop before-and-after, project journey, installation, and transformation videos.
Edit brand stories, customer testimonials, and product experience videos.
Create company introduction, presentation, exhibition, and sales-support videos.
Assist in creating educational and play-based content related to children’s development.

5. Creative & Editing Support

Suggest video concepts, hooks, editing styles, and content formats based on the available footage.
Research current video and social media trends relevant to kids, parenting, play, and D2C brands.
Organize project files and maintain editable source files.
Ensure consistent fonts, colours, graphics, and visual style across Mumtree videos.
Coordinate with the Mumtree marketing team for feedback and revisions.
Handle other video editing and creative requirements as the brand grows.

Required Skills

Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar professional video editing software.
Good understanding of short-form video and Reel editing.
Ability to create text animations, captions, transitions, and basic motion graphics.
Good understanding of music, sound effects, and video pacing.
Ability to edit product-focused and e-commerce videos.
Understanding of different video formats, resolutions, and aspect ratios.
Ability to independently work with raw footage and convert it into a finished video.

Preferred Skills

Experience working with D2C, e-commerce, kids’ products, furniture, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
Experience creating Meta Ads and performance marketing video creatives.
Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects or motion graphics.
Experience with AI-based video and creative tools.
Basic colour correction and audio enhancement skills.
Ability to create simple thumbnails and video cover designs will be an advantage.

Freelancer Engagement

Freelance / Project-Based engagement.
Regular video editing requirements.
Work will primarily include Social Media Reels, Product Listing Videos, Ad Creatives, and Brand Videos.
Raw footage and product information will generally be provided by the Mumtree team.
Freelancer should be available for regular communication, feedback, and revisions.
Timely delivery and consistency in editing quality are essential.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a video editor who is creative, fast, and understands digital content.

The ideal freelancer should not just cut and combine clips but should be able to understand the purpose of the video and transform raw footage into engaging, easy-to-understand, and visually appealing content.

Pay: ₹4,000.00 - ₹8,000.00 per month
