Job Summary:
The Pharmacy In-Charge is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the retail pharmacy, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, maintaining inventory, delivering excellent customer service, and leading the pharmacy team to achieve operational and sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:Pharmacy Operations
- Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations efficiently.
- Ensure dispensing of medicines as per valid prescriptions and applicable regulations.
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy licensing requirements and regulatory standards.
- Ensure proper storage of medicines according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Monitor expiry dates and remove expired or damaged products promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels and maintain optimum inventory.
- Prepare purchase requisitions based on stock movement.
- Receive and verify stock against invoices.
- Conduct periodic stock audits and physical inventory verification.
- Minimize stock losses due to expiry, damage, or pilferage.
- Ensure proper documentation for narcotic and controlled drugs, where applicable.
Sales & Customer Service
- Deliver excellent customer service and professional guidance.
- Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
- Promote OTC products and healthcare services ethically.
- Achieve monthly sales and profitability targets.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Team Management
- Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and support staff.
- Prepare staff duty rosters and monitor attendance.
- Train employees on SOPs, customer service, and compliance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback.
- Foster teamwork and maintain workplace discipline.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain statutory registers and required pharmacy records.
- Ensure accurate billing and documentation.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities during inspections.
- Implement company SOPs, NABH standards (if applicable), and quality policies.
Financial Responsibilities
- Monitor daily cash collections and billing accuracy.
- Control operational expenses.
- Prepare daily and monthly operational reports.
- Monitor sales trends and suggest strategies for business growth.
Coordination
- Coordinate with procurement for stock replenishment.
- Work closely with doctors, hospitals, and healthcare professionals.
- Liaise with vendors regarding product availability and deliveries.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per month
