Position Overview
The General Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in driving business growth through strategic collaborations and institutional partnerships. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing tie-ups with pre-schools, coaching classes, academic institutions, training centers, and other educational organizations to strengthen the group's market presence and generate sustainable business opportunities.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Partnerships & Business Development
- Identify, approach, and establish partnerships with pre-schools, schools, coaching institutes, tuition centers, and academic organizations.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand the organization's network and business reach.
- Create and manage a strong referral and feeder network to support admissions and business growth.
- Explore new markets, business opportunities, and strategic alliances within the education ecosystem.
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business development targets.
- Drive revenue growth through institutional tie-ups and collaborative initiatives.
- Prepare business proposals, presentations, and partnership agreements.
- Track sales performance and maintain regular reports on business development activities.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with school owners, principals, trustees, educational consultants, and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure effective communication and engagement with partners to foster long-term collaborations.
- Address partner concerns and ensure a high level of satisfaction and retention.
Franchise & Expansion Initiatives
- Support franchise development, acquisition opportunities, and educational expansion projects.
- Conduct market research and feasibility assessments for new business ventures.
- Assist management in identifying and evaluating potential growth opportunities.
Brand Promotion & Networking
- Represent the organization at educational events, exhibitions, seminars, conferences, and networking forums.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute joint promotional activities with partner institutions.
- Enhance brand visibility through strategic collaborations and community engagement initiatives.
Desired Candidate ProfileEducational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education Management, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification will be preferred.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Institutional Partnerships, Franchise Development, or Channel Management.
- Prior experience in the education sector, EdTech, schools, pre-schools, coaching institutes, or academic organizations will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated success in achieving business targets and building strategic partnerships.
