Job Summary:

Sree Jayam School is looking for a passionate and organized Librarian to manage our school library and foster a love for reading and learning among students. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of library systems, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to engage students across age groups.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the school library’s collection (books, digital resources, periodicals).
Assist students and faculty in locating and using resources effectively.
Promote reading through library activities, reading programs, and book clubs.
Organize and catalog books and resources using library management software.
Ensure proper circulation, issue, and return of library materials.
Guide students in research and project work.
Maintain a quiet, welcoming, and educational library environment.
Coordinate with teachers to support curriculum needs.
Keep records of library inventory and prepare reports as required.
Stay updated with new publications and educational resources.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Library Science or related field.
Prior experience in a school setting is preferred.
Proficiency in library management systems and digital tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for reading and education.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
