Job Description

Jeevan Rekha Hospital is looking for a skilled and responsible Blood Bank Technologist to join our laboratory and transfusion services team. The candidate will be responsible for handling blood collection, processing, testing, storage, and ensuring safe transfusion practices in compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform blood grouping, cross-matching, and compatibility testing
Handle blood collection, screening, processing, and storage procedures
Ensure proper maintenance of blood bank inventory and records
Monitor blood storage conditions and equipment functionality
Follow transfusion safety protocols and infection control guidelines
Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and laboratory teams for timely blood requirements
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with NABH and regulatory standards

Qualification

Diploma / Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT) or relevant field
Blood Bank Technology certification preferred

Experience

2–3 Years preferred
Candidates with hospital blood bank experience will be preferred

Required Skills

Knowledge of blood bank operations and transfusion procedures
Attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory practices
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in emergency and critical care situations
