Job Title: IT Executive / Desktop Support
Location: Kolkata - Salt Lake - Sector 5
Experience: Minimum 2yrs
Salary Package: Up to ₹4.5 LPA
Qualification: Any Graduate / Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field
Job Summary
- Provide end-user technical support and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, email, and system-related issues.
- Support enterprise desktop environments and ensure timely issue resolution with high user satisfaction.
- Handle desktop support, Windows administration, basic Linux & Mac OS troubleshooting, and networking support activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L1/L2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows/Linux operating systems and business applications.
- Manage user accounts, password resets, Active Directory, email, and access permissions.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, VPN, Wi-Fi, printer, and network-related issues.
- Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and remote collaboration tools.
- Perform OS installation, system imaging, software deployment, and patch management activities.
- Provide remote support using tools such as RDP, TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or similar platforms.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, documentation, and ticketing updates.
- Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and OEMs for hardware support and issue resolution.
- Ensure timely ticket closure and adherence to SLA requirements.
- Support endpoint security, antivirus management, and basic IT security compliance.
- Assist in office IT setups, infrastructure upgrades, and project activities.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Windows administration and basic Linux troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of desktop troubleshooting and hardware support.
- Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
- Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Outlook, and remote support tools.
- Knowledge of OS installation, software deployment, and patch management.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT support processes.
- Basic understanding of virtualization and cloud platforms will be an added advantage.
- Good troubleshooting, communication, and customer support skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- BCA, B.Sc. IT, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in IT or related field.
- Hardware & Networking certification/course preferred.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Support Certifications, or ITIL Foundation will be an added advantage.
- Experience in enterprise desktop support or IT helpdesk environments preferred.
- Basic understanding of endpoint management, ticketing systems, and troubleshooting processes.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
