Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Analyst - Investments. As a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for independently evaluating promising startups, unlisted companies, pre-IPO opportunities, and other investment opportunities across sectors. You will lead the analysis of business models, market opportunity, financial performance, traction, competitive positioning, and founding or management teams.
Develop detailed financial models, including unit economics, revenue forecasts, cash flows, valuation scenarios, and return analysis to support investment decisions. Conduct in-depth industry research, competitive landscape analysis, and market sizing exercises to assess growth potential, scalability, and strategic positioning.
Lead and coordinate the due diligence process across commercial, financial, and operational dimensions by evaluating business fundamentals, validating assumptions, and identifying key risks and value drivers. Prepare detailed investment theses, evaluation notes, and presentations for senior management and support investment decision-making.
Monitor the performance of portfolio companies by tracking critical operational and financial metrics. Prepare structured monthly and quarterly performance dashboards and reports to provide ongoing visibility into portfolio health and progress.
Engage actively with founders, management teams, investors, and the wider startup ecosystem through meetings, industry conferences, networking events, and site visits. Build and maintain strong relationships to identify and evaluate new investment opportunities.
Assist senior management in investment strategy, portfolio optimisation, exit planning, and strategic initiatives by analysing potential investment and liquidity scenarios, benchmarking comparable transactions, and supporting long-term value creation strategies.
In this role, you will work closely with top management to evaluate the performance and sustainability of investment options, identify new opportunities, and contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans. You will be expected to take ownership and accountability for investment evaluations, analysis, recommendations, and assigned deliverables while ensuring timely and high-quality execution.

Responsibilities:
● Independently source and evaluate high-potential startups, unlisted companies, pre-IPO opportunities, and other investment opportunities across sectors.
● Build and maintain relationships with founders, entrepreneurs, investors, intermediaries, incubators, accelerators, and other ecosystem participants to develop a strong investment pipeline.
● Conduct detailed evaluation of investment opportunities by assessing business models, market size, growth traction, financial performance, competitive positioning, and founding or management team quality.
● Prepare detailed investment teasers, opportunity briefs, investment theses, evaluation notes, and presentations for internal review and decision-making.
● Build and review robust financial models covering unit economics, revenue projections, cash flows, valuation scenarios, sensitivities, and potential investment returns.
● Perform in-depth industry research, competitive benchmarking, market sizing, and comparable company and transaction analysis to evaluate scalability, strategic fit, and investment attractiveness.
● Lead and coordinate due diligence across commercial, financial, operational, and other relevant aspects, identifying key risks, assumptions, and value drivers.
● Track and analyse portfolio company performance using key financial and operational KPIs such as revenue growth, burn rate, runway, profitability, and margins.
● Develop structured monthly and quarterly portfolio performance dashboards and management reports.
● Engage actively with founders and the startup ecosystem by attending industry events, conducting site visits, and performing operational reviews.
● Participate in discussions with founders, management teams, advisors, investors, and other stakeholders to assess business performance and investment opportunities.
● Assist senior management in strategic initiatives, including investment strategy, exit analysis, portfolio optimisation, opportunity evaluation, and long-term value creation planning.
● Take ownership and accountability for assigned investment opportunities, analysis, deliverables, timelines, and follow-through.
● Guide and review the work of Analysts and support the team in maintaining high standards of investment analysis and reporting.
Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree in finance, management, investment banking, accounting, or a related field from a reputable institution.
● 3–6 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, family office, investment management, or a similar investment-focused role.
● Prior experience in evaluating and analysing startups and unlisted/private companies is essential.
● Strong understanding of financial statements, investment strategies, financial analysis, valuation methodologies, and financial modelling.
● Strong mathematical and numerical skills to conduct financial analysis, modelling, and valuation.
● Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases/tools.
● Proficiency in data collection, research, and analysis to provide valuable insights for investment decisions.
● Excellent research and writing skills to produce investment reports, evaluation notes, and presentations.
● Confident presentation and communication abilities to communicate findings, analysis, and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
● Strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate business models, market opportunities, competitive landscapes, growth potential, and key business risks.
● Demonstrated ability to independently manage investment evaluations and take ownership of assigned responsibilities and deliverables.
● Strong sense of accountability, with the ability to take responsibility for the quality, accuracy, timelines, and outcomes of assigned work.
● Ability to work independently in a senior role, exercise sound judgement, challenge assumptions, and make informed recommendations.
● Ability to manage multiple investment opportunities and priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
