Job description

We are hiring a passionate and experienced Architectural / Landscape Design Asst. Professor to join our faculty team at Bangalore School of Design and Technology. The ideal candidate should possess the following:

Educational Qualifications:

Masters degree in Landscape / Architectural Design or a related field.
Relevant teaching or industry experience in Landscape design of a minimum 2 years is required.
Or if you think you are a born to be a teacher and are passionate about pursuing a career in this industry.

Skills & Expertise:

Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Enscape, Garden planner and Adobe photo shop
Strong understanding of design theory, trends, and sustainable practices.
Portfolio showcasing professional design projects.

Engagement Abilities:

Capacity to inspire students and foster creativity.
Ability to lead engaging and constructive design conversations.
Mentorship skills to guide students in project development and career pathways.
To engage with and lead the students in Design Competitions.

Teaching Responsibilities:

Deliver lectures and conduct hands-on workshops.
Evaluate student performance through projects and presentations.
Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development.
To engage with the Guardians to give required feedback on their wards academic progress.

Additional Qualities:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive and innovative approach to teaching.
Passion for nurturing future designers.
Time management and organizational Skills are much required.

Professional Stability: We are seeking individuals who are dedicated to building a stable and enduring academic career with our institution.

This is a full time Role as a Lecturer for our Landscape design curriculum, dealing with Landscape Engineering, Landscape Design, Plant Ecology, Planting Design, Advanced Landscape, Cost and Estimation, Landscape Management and Horticultural Practices, Fundamentals of Design, Colour theory's, Construction materials, Digital fluency, History of Design, Building services, Estimation and Costing Fundamentals of Drawing and technical drawings. These will be the core Subjects under our curriculum. as a lecturer, your responsibilities will be towards delivering knowledge with quality research, conducting assessments and guiding the students towards their career goals. You will need to be engaged with the students in the classrooms at class hours and engage in continued discussions and overseeing of their work. As the faculty, you will need to set an example of not being engaged continuously on social media platforms and encourage the students towards the same.
