About the Role :
The Finance Analyst plays a critical role in the company's business and fi nance management and decision-making process. They are responsible for analyzing business and fi nancial data, tracking monthly revenue and expenses, managing operating budgets and providing timely insights to support strategic planning towards business growth and operational effi ciency. The Finance Analyst works closely with the Founder and Other members of the leadership team to manage daily and long term strategic fi nancial investments in a manner best suited for the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Financial Analysis Conduct in-depth fi nancial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Evaluate fi nancial performance by comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and make recommendations for improvement.
2. Reporting and Communication Prepare and present fi nancial reports, summaries, and presentations to senior management, other external stakeholders as required. Communicate fi nancial insights and analysis to non-fi nance stakeholders.
3. Budgeting and Planning Assist in the annual budgeting process, including gathering data, modeling scenarios, and aligning fi nancial goals with company objectives. Monitor and track budget versus actual performance throughout the year, making adjustments as necessary. Ensure operating expenses and cash fl ows are managed well.
4. Data Management Collect, consolidate, and validate fi nancial data from various sources. Maintain and organize fi nancial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
5. Financial Forecasting Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create fi nancial forecasts and projections. Analyze market trends, industry benchmarks, and economic factors to inform forecasts.
6. Cost Analysis Analyze cost structures and provide recommendations for cost optimization. Conduct cost-benefi t analysis for proposed projects or initiatives.
7. Compliance and Risk Management Ensure compliance with fi nancial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies. Assess and mitigate fi nancial risks by identifying potential areas of concern.
8. Financial Modeling Develop and maintain financial models for various financial scenarios, such as pricing, investment decisions, and capital allocation. Assist in the development and maintenance of fi nancial models and dashboards.
