Job Description – Quality Control Head (MFI)Job Summary

The Quality Control Head is responsible for leading the Quality Control function across all branches, ensuring adherence to the Company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulatory guidelines, and internal control systems. The role oversees branch audits, operational quality, loan documentation verification, collection monitoring, fraud investigations, compliance management, and continuous process improvement. The QC Head will lead the QC team, identify operational risks, and implement corrective actions to strengthen organizational controls and improve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities1. Quality Control Leadership

Lead and manage the Quality Control team across all operational areas.
Develop and implement quality control policies, audit frameworks, and monitoring systems.
Ensure uniform implementation of QC standards across all branches.
Monitor the performance and productivity of the QC team.

2. Branch Audit & Operational Review

Plan and supervise branch quality audits.
Review branch compliance with Company SOPs, operational guidelines, and internal controls.
Identify operational risks and recommend corrective measures.
Ensure timely closure of audit observations.

3. Loan Documentation & Process Compliance

Oversee verification of loan applications, KYC documents, approvals, and supporting records.
Ensure compliance with Company policies, RBI regulations, and internal documentation standards.
Monitor documentation quality and eliminate process deviations.

4. Collection Quality Monitoring

Review collection processes, DCRs, cashbooks, customer receipts, and reconciliation reports.
Ensure customer collections are accurately recorded and promptly remitted.
Identify collection irregularities, shortages, delays, or cash misappropriation.

5. Fraud Prevention & Investigation

Lead investigations into fraud, document forgery, fake customer creation, cash misappropriation, and operational misconduct.
Coordinate investigations with HR, Operations, Legal, and Senior Management.
Prepare investigation reports with evidence and recommend disciplinary actions.

6. Compliance Management

Ensure organization-wide compliance with:
Company SOPs
RBI Guidelines
AML/KYC Requirements
Internal Control Procedures
Customer Protection Standards
Monitor regulatory compliance and recommend improvements.

7. Data Quality & Risk Control

Review customer master data and loan records.
Ensure system data matches physical records.
Monitor data accuracy and identify duplicate or incorrect entries.
Strengthen operational controls to minimize business risk.

8. Team Development & Performance Monitoring

Supervise and mentor Quality Control Executives.
Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching.
Identify training requirements and recommend skill development initiatives.
Ensure audit consistency across all regions.

9. Reporting & Management Review

Prepare weekly and monthly Quality Control reports.
Present audit findings, compliance status, fraud investigations, and risk assessments to Senior Management.
Track corrective action implementation and branch-wise compliance improvements.
Maintain audit records and supporting documentation.

10. Continuous Process Improvement

Recommend process enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
Develop preventive controls to reduce operational errors and fraud.
Support digital initiatives and quality improvement projects.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience as an Area Manager (Collections), Collection Manager in Microfinance, or Quality Control Manager in an MFI.
Strong knowledge of Microfinance operations, lending processes, collections, branch operations, and quality control systems.
Thorough understanding of RBI guidelines, AML/KYC compliance, and internal audit procedures.
Experience in fraud investigation, operational audits, and risk management.
Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Excellent report writing, communication, and team management abilities.
Willingness to travel extensively across branches.

Preferred Qualification

Graduation in any discipline (MBA or equivalent qualification preferred).
Proficiency in MS Excel, MIS reporting, and audit documentation.

Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
