The Superintending Engineer Refrigeration HVAC will lead and oversee all aspects of HVAC and refrigeration engineering across the organization pharmaceutical facilities This includes design development, capacity planning, execution, operation, and energy optimization of HVAC Reffrigeration systems aligned with GMP, Schedule M, and regulatory norms for sterile and non-sterile areas

Mechanical Engineer

Technical Skills Required

â€¢ Develop Basis of Design for Cleanroom HVAC, comfort cooling, AHUs, ducting, VAV systems, and refrigeration plants (including chillers, compressors, and cooling towers). â€¢ Plan and review layouts for classified zones, VFD-integrated AHUs, VRF systems, dehumidifiers, and air balancing. â€¢ Ensure refrigeration load calculations, psychrometric analysis, and heat load estimations are done precisely. â€¢ Define control strategies (BMS, SCADA) for temperature, RH, and differential pressure.

â€¢ Prepare and review GFC drawings, BOQs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and vendor submittals. 2.2 Project Planning & Execution: â€¢ Execute HVAC & refrigeration systems for greenfield, brownfield, and capacity expansion projects. â€¢ Supervise site execution, equipment installation, commissioning, validation (DQ, IQ, OQ), and performance testing. â€¢ Review contractor deliverables, approve MEP coordination layouts, and conduct FAT/SAT. â€¢ Implement redundancy and zoning strategies for critical cleanroom applications.

â€¢ Ensure HVAC-R designs are fully compliant with GMP, WHO, USFDA, and Schedule M norms. â€¢ Monitor parameters like air changes, pressure gradients, and HEPA filter integrity. â€¢ Lead HVAC qualification protocols and support audits with technical documentation. â€¢ Maintain records of HVAC performance data, breakdowns, and maintenance schedules.

â€¢ Drive initiatives to reduce HVAC energy consumption through advanced technologies (e.g., EC fans, VFDs, enthalpy wheels). â€¢ Optimize chilled water and refrigerant systems with energy-efficient strategies. â€¢ Conduct HVAC audits and monitor KPIs (COP, EER, RH control, system downtime).
