Full job description

At Goomti, we design homes that reflect the people who live in them, and we extend that same care to the objects we make and the way we send them into the world. We work across three verticals: interior design and spatial styling, a curated art gallery, and gifting. Goomti Gifts is where our philosophy takes physical form, and our online store is where it reaches people. We are looking for an E-commerce Manager to own that store end to end.

This is an ownership role. We are looking for someone who has run an online store before, not marketed one from the outside. If you have managed a live storefront, its catalogue, its orders, and everything that happens between a customer clicking buy and the parcel arriving at their door, this is for you.

What you will do

The storefront

You will own our Shopify store end to end. Build and maintain the product catalogue, listings, descriptions, imagery, and collections. Keep the store accurate, considered, and true to Goomti's voice in every product page. Plan and run promotions, launches, and seasonal campaigns. Track what sells, understand why, and use that to shape the store and grow online revenue.

Fulfilment

You will own the order journey from checkout to doorstep. Process orders, coordinate packing and dispatch, and manage returns and exchanges with care. Keep stock and inventory accurate, and stay ahead of what needs replenishing. Handle customer queries about orders, delivery, and products in a way that feels personal, because at Goomti a gift is a thread of connection, and the way it arrives is part of the gift.

Across both

Coordinate with the social media and content teams so the store and the feed tell one story. Work with the operations and gifts teams on stock, sourcing, and packaging. Bring order and system to the whole online operation, so it runs smoothly and scales without losing its care.

What we are looking for

Someone who has managed a Shopify store, or a comparable platform, end to end. Hands-on command of the catalogue, orders, and the back end of an online store. A working understanding of fulfilment, inventory, and the logistics of getting a product from shelf to customer. Comfort reading store and sales data and acting on it. An eye for detail, so every listing and every order reflects the same standard. A sense for customer experience, and the instinct to make each interaction feel human rather than automated. Comfort using AI tools to work efficiently across listings, content, and operations. 2 to 4 years running an online store or e-commerce operation.

Who you are

You are an owner, not a task-taker. You see the whole picture, from the product page to the packed box, and you hold the standard across all of it. You are organised enough to run fulfilment without dropping a thread, and thoughtful enough to understand that how something arrives matters as much as what arrives. You believe an online store can feel as considered as a physical space, and you want to build one that does.

The details

Location: Kolkata, in-office
Hours: 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
Experience: 2 to 4 years managing an online store or e-commerce operation.
