Job Title: Senior Accountant
Experience: 10+ Years
Location: Shivaji Nagar
Department: Finance & Accounts

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory regulations, managing financial reporting, and supporting business decision-making through accurate financial analysis. The candidate should possess strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in ERP systems and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the complete accounting cycle, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Bank Reconciliations.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.
Coordinate and manage internal, statutory, tax, and external audits.
Prepare and review GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory filings as applicable.
Monitor cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Maintain strong internal controls and recommend process improvements.
Support financial planning and business decision-making through financial analysis and MIS reporting.
Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet schedules.
Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and asset verification.
Liaise with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Mentor and guide junior accounting staff while ensuring high-quality work standards.
Participate in ERP implementation, process automation, and finance transformation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com/M.Com).
CA, CMA, CPA, or ACCA qualification is preferred.
10+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and compliance.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or Tally ERP.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

Experience in manufacturing, IT, services, or multinational organizations.
Knowledge of IFRS/Ind AS/GAAP reporting standards.
Strong exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Experience in team leadership and stakeholder management.
Process improvement and internal control expertise.
