Housekeeper

Department:- Housekeeping

Reports To:-

Housekeeping Supervisor / Executive Housekeeper

Job Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and assigned sections of the hotel. The role ensures guests enjoy a comfortable, clean, and welcoming environment while adhering to hotel standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards.
Change bed linens, make beds, and replace towels and amenities.
Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas.
Replenish guest supplies such as toiletries, water bottles, tea/coffee sachets, and other amenities.
Report maintenance issues, damages, and lost-and-found items to the supervisor.
Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and stored properly.
Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
Respond promptly to guest requests and housekeeping-related concerns.
Maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy.
Assist with deep cleaning projects and special cleaning assignments as directed.

Requirements

Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel is preferred.
Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good physical stamina and attention to detail.
Positive attitude and customer service mindset.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
