Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Establish quality standards, inspection procedures, and acceptance criteria for products and processes.
- Monitor quality performance across incoming material, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and final dispatch.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, company procedures, and customer specifications.
- Establish and monitor quality objectives and KPIs.
2. Incoming Material Inspection
- Develop inspection procedures for raw materials, bought-out components, electrical/electronic components, mechanical parts, and assemblies.
- Ensure incoming materials are inspected according to approved specifications and drawings.
- Coordinate with Purchase and suppliers regarding rejected or non-conforming materials.
- Maintain inspection reports and supplier quality records.
3. In-Process & Final Inspection
- Establish stage-wise inspection and quality checkpoints during manufacturing and machine assembly.
- Ensure dimensional, mechanical, electrical, and functional inspections are carried out as required.
- Review machine assembly and testing quality before final dispatch.
- Prepare and maintain final inspection and testing reports.
- Ensure that only approved products are released for dispatch.
4. Non-Conformance & Corrective Action
- Identify, record, and analyze internal and customer quality issues.
- Lead root-cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, Pareto Analysis, and 8D.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Reduce rejection, rework, customer complaints, and repeat quality issues.
5. Supplier Quality Management
- Evaluate and monitor supplier quality performance.
- Establish supplier quality requirements and inspection standards.
- Conduct supplier quality reviews and coordinate corrective actions.
- Work with the Purchase team to improve supplier quality and reduce material rejection.
- Maintain approved supplier quality records.
6. Documentation & Quality Records
- Maintain inspection reports, test reports, rejection reports, NCRs, CAPA records, calibration records, and quality documents.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of quality-related activities.
- Prepare monthly quality reports and management dashboards.
- Maintain SOPs, work instructions, inspection standards, and quality formats.
7. Calibration & Measuring Instruments
- Maintain a complete record of measuring and testing instruments.
- Ensure timely calibration of measuring equipment.
- Establish calibration schedules and maintain calibration certificates.
- Ensure instruments are properly identified and used within their validity period.
8. Customer Complaints
- Investigate customer complaints related to product quality and performance.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Service, and other departments to identify root causes.
- Prepare RCA/8D reports wherever required.
- Ensure timely closure of customer complaints.
- Track recurring complaints and implement preventive measures.
9. Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to reduce rejection, rework, scrap, and production losses.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Introduce quality checkpoints and mistake-proofing/Poka-Yoke where appropriate.
- Use quality data and statistical analysis to identify trends and improvement areas.
- Promote a strong quality culture across the organization.
10. Team Management
- Lead and supervise Quality Engineers, Inspectors, and other quality personnel.
- Allocate inspection responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Train employees on quality standards, inspection methods, SOPs, and quality awareness.
- Conduct regular quality meetings with production and engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
- Additional qualification in Quality Management will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and engineering quality systems is essential.
Required Experience
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
- Experience in machine manufacturing, CNC machinery, laser machines, automation, engineering products, fabrication, or industrial equipment will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in managing a quality team will be given preference.
Required Technical Skills
- Knowledge of QMS / ISO 9001.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of dimensional inspection and measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Dial Gauge, etc.
- Knowledge of 8D, CAPA, RCA, 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, and basic statistical quality tools.
- Knowledge of incoming, in-process, and final inspection.
- Supplier Quality Management.
- NCR and rejection management.
- Calibration management.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and ERP/QMS software.
- Ability to prepare professional quality reports.

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
