Job Summary
The Associate Manager - Accounts Payable is responsible to support the delivery of operational excellence by managing day-to-day process activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal control requirements, driving service quality, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The role is responsible for achieving operational targets, supporting stakeholder requirements, and fostering a high-performance culture aligned with SCB values and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle core P2P processes including vendor onboarding, invoice processing and validation, payment runs, reconciliations, travel and expense management, MIS, and payment approvals.
- Allocate invoices daily for indexing, assessment, and processing as required.
- Ensure accurate capture and review of all necessary fields during assigned activities.
- Prioritize urgent invoices based on instructions from the Manager or Team Coordinator (Country Finance) via Service Now tickets.
- Review incomplete or incorrect invoices before moving them to the rework queue.
- Maintain 100% accuracy in all assigned activities.
- Receive volume allocation according to job objectives agreed with the line manager.
- Process journals with complete accuracy, based on the input received
- Establish and maintain effective financial and operational controls.
- Continuously review assigned processes to identify opportunities for quality and process improvements.
- Implement tools to measure and monitor customer satisfaction levels and report the same.
- Supervise the team, provide on-the-job and other trainings to the staff
- Coordinate with other R2P team leaders and across functions to ensure cooperation and smooth operations.
- Monitor customer service standards to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and consistently meet or exceed requirements.
- Diligently maintain DOIs and SLAs.
- Assist line managers in preparing monthly MIS reports, including team volumes, individual volumes, daily allocations, and billings.
- Demonstrate accounting expertise in end-to-end P2P processes.
Other Responsibilities / Requirements
- Experience in new transitions and process stabilization (Preferably).
- Manage assigned tasks professionally and efficiently in compliance with SLA and DOI guidelines.
- Maintain responsiveness to stakeholder needs and ensure effective and regular communication.
- Deliver seamless service for migrated processes.
- Possess strong awareness of process risks and a solid understanding of system and process controls.
- Hold knowledge of both upstream and downstream processes.
- Serve as a Relationship Manager for assigned countries.
- Coordinate with IT support for system issue ticketing.

Qualifications
Key Experiences
- 5–8 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), or Requisition-toPay (R2P) operations.
- Experience within Banking, Financial Services or Shared Services preferred.
- Exposure to multinational and high-volume transaction environments is an advantage
- Proven experience handling complex AP transactions, audits, controls, and stakeholder management.
- Proven experience in managing end-to-end operational processes.
- Strong understanding of operational risk, controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in process improvement, automation, and transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with senior stakeholders and drive business outcomes
- Proven experience in Process management, Stakeholder management & Team Management
Certifications/Qualifications
- Any Degree or master’s degree in commerce or business administration
