ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a passionate, skilled, and health-conscious chef who can run our kitchen end-to-end — from fresh morning prep to quality plating for delivery. You will be the heartbeat of Wellthy's kitchen: responsible for taste, consistency, hygiene, and speed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Execute the full Wellthy menu across all categories
● Prepare and manage all mise en place — marinations, dressings, dip batches, sauce prep, and portion control every morning
● Grill and cook all proteins (chicken, fish, eggs, paneer, soya chaap) using grilling, air-frying, and pan-searing — no deep frying
● Prepare housemade dips and sauces fresh daily — including hummus, beetroot hummus, tzatziki, baba ganoush, hariyali marinade, garlic-tahini sauce, and peri-peri mayo
● Ensure strict 50/50 vegetarian and non-vegetarian rotation across all categories
● Maintain consistent taste, portion size, and plating quality across every single delivery order
● Cold-press and blend fresh juices and smoothies daily to order — no pre-made, no concentrates
● Follow and uphold all food safety (FSSAI) and kitchen hygiene standards — daily cleaning, temperature checks, and waste management
● Coordinate with the delivery packaging station to ensure correct labelling, stickering, and order accuracy
● Manage kitchen inventory — daily stock tracking, flagging reorder needs, and minimising wastage
● Train and guide kitchen assistant(s) / utility staff as the team grows
● Suggest seasonal specials, new dishes, and recipe improvements based on customer feedback
● Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment: contact grill, cold-press juicer, commercial blender, air fryer, and prep fridges
✅ WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience & Skills
● Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience (cloud kitchen, restaurant, QSR, or catering)
● Strong command of Indian, Mediterranean, and continental cooking techniques
● Experience with healthy cooking methods: grilling, air-frying, steaming, pan-searing, cold-pressing
● Ability to work with high daily order volumes without compromising on quality or speed
● Knowledge of FSSAI food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
● Experience handling both vegetarian and non-vegetarian proteins
Personal Qualities
● Passion for healthy food and genuine belief that clean food can taste great
● Strong attention to detail — consistency in taste, portion, and presentation every single order
● Team player — able to work with junior kitchen staff and maintain a calm, efficient kitchen
● Honest, reliable, and punctual — our morning prep schedule starts at 7:00 AM sharp
● Adaptable — willing to learn our specific recipes, dip formulas, and brand standards
● Basic Hindi literacy preferred; English reading ability for recipes is a plus
Preferred (Not Mandatory)
● Prior experience in a cloud kitchen or delivery-first food business
● Knowledge of grilled mains preparation and dressing
● Experience with Mediterranean dips — hummus, baba ganoush, tzatziki
● Familiarity with smoothie/juice bar operations

OUR KITCHEN RULES (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
● Zero deep frying — all proteins are grilled, air-fried, steamed, or pan-seared
● Zero refined sugar in any dish — natural sweeteners (dates, honey, jaggery) only
● Zero use of artificial flavour enhancers or preservatives
● Zero compromise on food hygiene — kitchen must be spotless before and after every shift
● Zero wastage mindset — FIFO stock rotation and daily waste tracking required
