About Sky Education Group

Sky Education Group is an established education consultancy working in the higher-education and EdTech space.

We assist students and working professionals with admissions across Online, Distance and other higher-education programs from reputed universities.

We are now expanding our sales team and looking for an experienced Senior Admission Counsellor who can independently handle qualified student prospects and convert them into successful admissions.

About the Role

The Senior Admission Counsellor will be responsible for handling qualified student prospects, understanding their educational and career requirements, recommending suitable programs, handling objections, conducting follow-ups and converting prospects into admissions.

This is a sales and closing role.

We are looking for someone who has a proven ability to convert education leads into admissions, rather than someone whose experience is limited to making calls.

Key Responsibilities

Handle qualified leads and prospects generated by the Lead Generation team.
Contact students and working professionals through calls, WhatsApp and other communication channels.
Understand the student's:
Academic background
Career goals
Work experience
Course requirement
Budget
Admission timeline
Recommend suitable Online / Distance education programs based on the student's requirements.
Explain course structure, eligibility, fees, university details, admission process and career relevance.
Compare suitable university/program options and help students make informed decisions.
Handle objections related to:
Fees
University reputation
Course validity
Online vs Distance learning
Recognition
Placement
Course duration
Family/student decision-making
Conduct structured and timely follow-ups with prospects.
Maintain accurate lead status and follow-up information in CRM/Excel.
Assist students throughout the application and admission process.
Coordinate with the university/admission team for successful enrolment.
Achieve individual monthly admission and revenue targets.
Maintain strong relationships with students and ensure a professional counselling experience.

Qualified leads handled
Counselling conversations
Follow-up effectiveness
Applications generated
Admissions achieved
Revenue generated
Lead-to-admission conversion rate
Follow-up discipline
CRM/data accuracy

Important

We are looking for a closer, not just a caller.

Candidates with a proven track record of converting education leads into admissions will be given preference.

Candidate ProfileRequired

Graduate in any discipline.
1–3 years of experience in Education Sales / EdTech / Admission Counselling / Inside Sales.
Strong Hindi communication skills.
Good English communication skills.
Strong convincing and negotiation ability.
Excellent follow-up discipline.
Target-oriented and result-driven.
Comfortable with outbound calling and sales targets.
Basic knowledge of CRM and MS Excel/Google Sheets.

Who Should NOT Apply?

This role may not be suitable for candidates whose experience is primarily:

General academic counselling without sales responsibility

We specifically need someone comfortable with sales, follow-ups and admission closures.

Salary & Incentives

Fixed Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000/month

Plus: Attractive performance-based incentives linked to admissions and revenue.

Relevant experience
Previous admission performance
Current/last CTC
Interview performance
Proven sales results
