Full job description

Henriquez Accounting & Tax Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Florida-licensed Certified Public Accountant to work remotely from India as a part-time independent contractor.

This is a long-term remote opportunity for approximately 20 hours per week, beginning with a 30-day paid trial.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT

The applicant must currently hold an active and verifiable CPA license issued by the Florida Board of Accountancy.

An Indian CA, ACCA, CMA, CPA candidate, completed CPA examination, or CPA license issued only by another U.S. state does not satisfy this specific requirement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and review U.S. individual and business tax returns.
Review Forms 1040, 1040-NR, 1065, 1120-S, 1120, and related schedules.
Review bookkeeping, account reconciliations, profit-and-loss statements, balance sheets, and general ledgers.
Identify missing information, inconsistencies, potential tax issues, and necessary corrections.
Provide technical guidance concerning federal and Florida tax matters.
Review work completed by other accountants and tax preparers.
Maintain organized workpapers and submit daily progress reports.
Attend a weekly video meeting with the firm owner.
Follow all confidentiality, taxpayer-data, and cybersecurity requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Active Florida CPA license in good standing.
Current IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
At least two years of U.S. tax preparation or tax-return review experience.
Experience with Forms 1040, 1065, 1120-S, and 1120.
Strong knowledge of U.S. federal taxation and U.S. GAAP.
QuickBooks Online experience.
Excellent written and verbal English.
Reliable high-speed internet and a secure private workspace.
Availability for 20 hours per week with at least two hours of regular overlap with Eastern Time.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience using Drake Tax.
Experience with Xero, Zoho CRM, Zoho Mail, and secure client portals.
Previous remote experience supporting a U.S. accounting or tax firm.

WORK ARRANGEMENT

International independent-contractor position.
Fully remote from India.
Approximately 20 hours per week.
Initial 30-day paid trial.
Monthly compensation range: ₹100,000–₹175,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
Flexible schedule with required Eastern Time overlap.
Remote access through Splashtop to a company-owned computer located in Florida.
Access limited to assigned clients and approved systems.
