Full job description

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced AI Video Creator / Video Editor to join our Production team and own the creation of AI-generated and AI-assisted video content for our clients' performance marketing, branding, and social campaigns.

As an AI Video Creator at DotMappers, you will use leading AI video generation and editing tools to plan, prompt, generate, and finish high-quality video assets across a wide range of formats — from performance ad creatives to cinematic brand films, animation, AI avatars, product showcases, and short-form social content. You will work closely with the Production, Sales, and AI teams to translate campaign briefs into scroll-stopping video content, optimized for the specific platform it will run on.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

AI Video Production

● Plan, script, prompt, and generate AI videos end-to-end using leading AI video generation tools (e.g., Runway, Kling, Luma, Pika, Sora, Google Veo, HeyGen, D-ID, ElevenLabs, CapCut AI, and similar), selecting the right tool for each brief.

● Edit, assemble, and finish AI-generated footage into polished, client-ready videos using tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut.

● Maintain consistent, on-brand visual quality across AI-generated shots — color grading, transitions, sound design, and motion graphics — so the final output feels premium rather than "AI-looking."

Video Types & Formats

● Performance Ads: UGC-style ads, testimonials, product demos, before/after videos, offer videos, comparison ads, and problem-solution ads.

● Cinematic & Brand: Cinematic commercials, brand films, lifestyle videos, product beauty shots, and storytelling-led content.

● Animation: 2D and 3D animation, motion graphics, kinetic typography, and cartoon/character animation.

● AI People: AI avatars, talking heads, influencer/creator-style videos, presenters, and multilingual spokesperson videos.

● Product & E-commerce: Product showcases and demos, image-to-video conversions, 3D product visualization, and catalog-to-video content.

● Social Content: Reels, Shorts, TikToks, podcast clips, meme/trend-style videos, and repurposing long-form videos into short-form cuts.

Platform-Optimized Delivery

● Adapt scripting, pacing, framing, and aspect ratio for each destination platform, including Meta Ads (Facebook + Instagram), Google Ads, YouTube + YouTube Shorts, TikTok + TikTok Ads, LinkedIn + LinkedIn Ads, Shopify / e-commerce listings, brand websites and landing pages, and X (Twitter) Ads.

● Deliver multiple crops/aspect ratios (e.g., 16:9, 9:16, 1:1) from a single master edit as required by the campaign.

Creative Strategy & Collaboration

● Translate campaign briefs, client goals, and ad performance data into effective video concepts and scripts.

● Collaborate with the Production, Sales, and AI teams to understand client requirements, brand guidelines, and campaign objectives.

● Stay current on the fast-moving AI video tool landscape and proactively recommend new tools, workflows, and techniques that improve output quality, speed, or cost.

● Maintain a clear, reusable prompt and workflow library for common video types to improve turnaround time across projects.

Quality, Process & Documentation

● Log tools used, prompts, and any tool-specific limitations (credits, watermarks, resolution caps, generation-length caps) for each project.

● Ensure final deliverables (video files, scripts, and supporting assets) are organized, versioned, and handed off in the required formats and specifications.

● Monitor ad/creative performance feedback where available and iterate on a creative approach based on results.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

● 3–5 years of relevant, hands-on experience creating AI-generated or AI-assisted videos, ideally with additional traditional video editing/VFX experience.

● Demonstrated proficiency with AI video generation tools such as Runway, Kling AI, Luma Dream Machine, Pika, Sora, Google Veo/Gemini, HeyGen, D-ID, ElevenLabs, or similar.

● Strong finishing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut for editing, color grading, sound design, and motion graphics.

● Proven ability to produce across multiple video categories: performance ad creatives, cinematic/brand films, animation/motion graphics, AI avatar/talking-head videos, product/e-commerce videos, and short-form social content.

● Solid understanding of scripting for video — hooks, pacing, structure (e.g., Hook–Hero–Trust–Authority for longer-form content), and platform-specific storytelling.

● Working knowledge of platform-specific creative requirements and best practices across Meta Ads, Google Ads, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X Ads.

● Ability to manage multiple video projects simultaneously and consistently meet client deadlines.

● Strong eye for visual storytelling, brand consistency, and current social/ad creative trends.

Preferred Skills

● Prior experience in a digital marketing, advertising, or performance-marketing agency environment.

● Experience creating video content for e-commerce/Shopify brands and professional services clients.

● Familiarity with image-to-video and 3D product visualization workflows.

● Experience with AI voice generation/cloning and multilingual dubbing for spokesperson videos.

● Understanding of ad performance metrics (CTR, hook rate, thumb-stop ratio, ROAS) and how creative choices influence them.

● A portfolio or reel showcasing a range of AI-generated video work across the categories listed above.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

● Bachelor's degree in film, Animation, Multimedia, Design, Mass Communication, or a related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience and a strong portfolio will also be considered.
