About Thotfy
Thotfy is a marketplace for handcrafted, unique, and creator-made products. We help artisans, creators, hobbyists, and small businesses bring their products online and reach customers across India.
We are looking for a Seller Success & Business Operations Associate Intern to help us onboard sellers, improve seller experience, drive seller activation, and identify opportunities to grow the marketplace.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, solving business problems, analysing data, and working with technology.
What You’ll Own1. Seller Onboarding & Activation
- Guide new sellers through the Thotfy onboarding process.
- Help sellers complete their profile, documentation, bank details, and product listings.
- Follow up with sellers to ensure their products are successfully listed and published.
- Identify onboarding drop-offs and work on ways to improve activation.
- Help sellers achieve their first successful sale on the platform.
- Maintain regular communication with sellers through email, WhatsApp, phone, and other channels.
2. Seller Success
- Act as a point of contact for assigned sellers.
- Understand seller problems and help resolve issues related to listings, orders, shipping, payments, and marketplace processes.
- Proactively identify sellers who are inactive or facing difficulties.
- Help sellers improve their product listings, including titles, descriptions, images, pricing, and product information.
- Educate sellers about Thotfy's tools, policies, promotions, and marketplace processes.
- Collect seller feedback and identify recurring problems.
3. Seller Growth
- Analyse seller and product performance to identify growth opportunities.
- Identify products with strong potential based on views, cart additions, purchases, and other marketplace metrics.
- Help sellers understand how they can improve product performance.
- Support seller marketing and promotional campaigns.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to promote selected sellers and products.
- Assist in seller education initiatives such as workshops, guides, onboarding material, and campaigns.
4. Business Analysis & Marketplace Operations
- Track key seller and marketplace metrics.
- Prepare regular reports on seller onboarding, activation, listings, sales, and engagement.
- Analyse why sellers or products are underperforming.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
- Document processes and create SOPs for recurring seller operations.
- Work with the team to improve seller retention and marketplace activity.
5. Product & Technology Collaboration
- Convert recurring seller problems into clear requirements for the product/development team.
- Create simple user stories, workflows, and feature requirements.
- Participate in product testing and UAT.
- Report bugs and help reproduce issues reported by sellers.
- Work with developers to validate fixes and new features.
- Participate in automation initiatives to reduce manual seller operations.
6. Data & Reporting
- Work with Excel/Google Sheets and basic SQL to analyse marketplace data.
- Build and maintain operational reports.
- Track KPIs such as:
- Seller onboarding completion
- Seller activation
- Products listed and published
- First-sale conversion
- Seller activity
- Seller retention
- Product performance
- Orders and GMV
- Use data to recommend actions rather than simply reporting numbers.
Key Responsibilities
The intern will be expected to:
Onboard → Activate → Support → Grow → Retain sellers
The ultimate objective is to help more sellers become active, successful, and long-term contributors to the Thotfy marketplace.

- Good working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
- Ability to work independently and follow up consistently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong ownership and willingness to learn.
Good to Have
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Basic understanding of e-commerce or marketplace businesses.
- Experience with CRM, customer support, or seller management tools.
- Basic knowledge of APIs, web applications, or software development.
- Experience with data analysis or dashboards.
- Previous internship or project experience in business operations, sales, customer success, or product management.
